No Little KindnessNo Little Kindness is Allen Watke, Jen Seifert, Cameron Fraser, Noah Smith, and Jeremy Seifert. We came together to make some good uplifting songs. We make music in a dark living room with shag carpet and lots of electrical problems. Cammy's cat, Santa (also affectionately called Mama, or Marma when she gets mean), frequently sprays our gear, presumably to protect it from thieves or mate with it. No one's really sure. Frequently after practice we finish off the night gleaning food from dumpsters and listening to records. Wad (Allen) douses everything with hot sauce and eats whole jalapenos without blinking. He sneaks chunks of them to Finn (Jeremy and Jen's son) to condition him to hot things. Finn is our wee little mascot who perpetually jumps and talks about fireworks and airplanes, or pounds his drum kit singing the ABC's. He recently created his own one-man band called Pit!
Noah (the Boa) has just grown an immense moustache that everyone's pretty proud of. He's toying with the idea of mass producing it and including fake staches with our next EP. Nuf(Jen) is our smallest member but plays the biggest instrument and is by far the most responsible mother in the band. Jeremy occasionally brings charts and calendars in an attempt to organize the band and make big plans. These are usually lost in the shag carpet and found later with Santa spray on them. We are a family born out of many loves and many quirks. Our music comes together like stew, everyone tossing in favorite ingredients and letting them all simmer until something beautiful emerges. We pray a lot because we all know that we're broken and in need of healing. That's really why we make our music--to be made whole, to rejoice even in our pain and nagging doubt, to sing when everything inside us wants to be silent and shout when the joy can't be restrained. |
